PHILIPSBURG, St Maarten, Wednesday June 28, 2017 – Winair, the national carrier of St Maarten this month started services to Haiti and Curacao.

Flights are being operated twice a week – on Tuesday and Saturday. They depart from Curacao for St Maarten and on to Haiti, before returning to Curacao via St Maarten.

Winair is the only airline serving the St Maarten – Haiti – St Maarten route.

“For the past several months we received many calls from customers who are frustrated with the current air transportation options to Curacao and Haiti. Therefore, Winair has opted to enter into those markets to assist with the travel demands within the region,” said the airline’s president and chief executive officer Michael Cleaver.

Winair said the flights were timed to connect with all its existing destinations.
