Monday is for fresh starts! Learn the basics of Latin Night Club Dancing! That is: Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, and Bachata from scratch. This is the perfect class for ultra beginner dancers and brand new students. It all happens in Downtown, Houston!

You will learn the foundations of each of these Latin dance: Merengue, Cumbia, Bachata and Salsa. How to do the basic steps, right and left turns, how to lead and follow, how to do basic figures, and how to put it all together in simple social patterns. Plus you will learn how to recognize the music, dance ettiquette, and most importantly, how to have fun on the dance floor.

MEET & DANCE MONDAY SCHEDULE

✓ 7:00-8:00p Intro to Latin Dancing. Learn the basics and turns of Merengue, Cumbia, and Bachata (these Latin dances are easier than Salsa).

✓ 8:00-9:00p Intro to Salsa dancing. Learn the basic steps, basic right turn, cross body lead footwork and partner work. Learn leading and following techniques. Salsa is a bit more complex than Merengue, Cumbia, and Bachata.

✓ 9:00-9:30p Meet & Dance Monday practice and mini social for the students.

Class Level: Intro level, Level 0, Baby steps to latin dancing. Super easy class to start with.

Singles, couples, and groups welcome. Don’t be shy to attend alone, we make a big circle and rotate with everyone. No partner required – plan to dance with everyone! Couples can stay together.

Beginner Intro Class prices:

Singles: One class $15/person. Both classes $20/person.

Couples: One class $25 per couple. Both classes $35/couple

Payment: You can buy online with credit card or pay at the door. We accept Cash, Venmo, Cashapp, and Zelle. We do not accept credit cards at the door.

ATTIRE

Casual attire welcome. Gym attire welcome. Low heels / flats for ladies. Leather sole shoes for men. Avoid sandals and rubber sole shoes.

✓ Free street parking around Market Square park. Congress St, Travis St, Milan St, Preston St.

✓ Read parking signs. Do not park in commercial and emergency red zones.

✓ Please don’t forget to take your valuables with you or place them in your trunk out of plain view.

✓ Bar (and sometimes food) is available through the night. The venue is excited to host us! Show them your support.
